Our Story
Before our debut at NorthPark Mall in June 2026, Yelo’s first location opened in October 2024 at SouthPark Mall, just across the Mississippi River in Moline, Illinois. There, we served exotic ice cream, bubble tea, smoothies, and small bites. It was the beginning of Yelo and gave us the opportunity to learn what our customers loved and what we wanted Yelo to become.
Since reopening at NorthPark Mall, Yelo has evolved into a more food-centered concept. We wanted to create something beyond drinks and desserts by offering customers meals they could come back and enjoy. Our menu now combines fresh poke bowls with Filipino favorites, bringing together flavors that are meaningful to us.
The one item that has remained consistent throughout Yelo’s journey is our halo-halo, topped with our homemade ube ice cream. Halo-halo remains a staple on Yelo’s menu and is always a great dessert after a meal (although many of our customers enjoy it as their main course!). Halo-halo also represents what we love about Yelo: sharing something unique with the community that people may never have tried before.
As Yelo continues to grow, our primary goal is to bring our community together and provide food, drinks, and desserts that people enjoy.
